An automotive stamping plant wanted to replace their existing main motors in order to standardize across multiple press lines in order to cut down on the cost and quantity of replacement parts. The new motors needed to be sized to match the existing capability with speed ramp up/ramp down performance maintained or improved, with all ancillary equipment fitting the exact same footprint as the original.
