An automotive manufacturer sought to do a complete controls upgrade and retrofit on their press systems in order to switch from outdated Unico controls. The two presses were stripped down and refitted with all new Siemens controls. The new upgraded Siemens technology was able to retain the full functionality of the original Unico system with significant improvement in terms of diagnostics, performance, and maintenance costs.
