An automotive stamping plant needed to upgrade their system controls to meet new global standards for controls architecture and hardware across different types of presses. Concurrently they wanted to upgrade the safety controls to a safety PLC for all press safety functions, including all new safety devices. Additionally, they required the replacement of AC field devices as well as requesting significant improvements to the transfer speed and press diagnostics for faster recovery.
