We invited 350 of our close friends, partners, and clients to an advanced screening Thursday evening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens as part of a fundraiser for two local charities.
The price of admission at the Silver City event: donations of non-perishable food items.
“Our guests were so excited to be a part of history, to be some of the first people in Windsor to see the movie; they were very grateful and very, very generous,” said Karen Kapustiak, the event organizer.
The donations of 1,500 cans and non-perishable food items were split between the Downtown Mission and Street Help.
